Training Practice
We Are a Training Practice
At Springhead Health, we take pride in being an approved training practice. As a training general practice, we offer hands-on experience and mentorship to junior doctors and GP trainees. Our practice serves as a vibrant learning environment where aspiring medical professionals acquire practical skills, clinical knowledge, and insights into patient care under the guidance of our experienced GPs.
You may see doctors in their early post-qualification years or GP trainees during your visit to Springhead. These doctors are well supported and can always seek advice from a qualified GP if necessary. Please rest assured that if a training doctor seeks guidance from a senior GP during your appointment, it's all part of our commitment to delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.
Foundation Year 2 Doctors (Junior Doctors / FY2)
These are qualified doctors in their second year post-qualification. Often, they have prior experience working in hospital settings before starting specialist training in general practice. They have continual access to support from our qualified GPs.
GP Specialist Trainees (Registrars), GP ST1/2
These doctors are undergoing specialized training to become GPs. They are fully qualified doctors who have spent several years working in hospital specialties before transitioning to specialist GP training. GP ST1 doctors are in their first year of specialist GP training, GP ST2 are in their second year, and GP ST3 are in their final year of training to become GPs. They always have access to support from our qualified GPs.
